How to Spark Sovereign Shifts

HOW (light-touch practices you can use this week)

  1. NOTICE THE PATTERN (two questions)
    • “Where did your voice go quiet this month?”
    • “Where did you feel most like yourself?”
    You’re helping her spot context, not fix character.

  2. NAME WHAT SHE STANDS FOR (one paragraph)
    Prompt: I stand for __, serving __ to create __. I do this by __ while honouring __.
    Keep it human, not corporate. If it reads like PR, tighten it until she can say it out loud without cringing.

  3. CHOOSE 3 NON-NEGOTIABLES (make them observable)
    Examples that land and model “non-negotiables at work”:
    • Voice: “I state my position before we debate options.”
    • Focus: “I protect two focus blocks weekly; meetings work around them.”
    • Credit: “I correct authorship and credit in writing.”
    Non-negotiables aren’t walls; they’re lanes. They keep her work in integrity.

  4. GIVE HER A LINE SHE CAN ACTUALLY SAY (language is leverage)
    • Boundary: “That doesn’t work for me. What I can offer is…”
    • Capacity: “If this is urgent, which current priority should we de-scope?”
    • Credit: “Please reflect authorship as follows - I’ll update the doc now.”

  5. ANCHOR IT IN THE BODY (tiny but potent)
    Invite a simple Sovereign posture - feet grounded, shoulders soft, crown lifted. Rehearse one key sentence in that stance. The body remembers when the brain forgets.

Common Hurdles and How to Coach Them

“What if I’m seen as ‘difficult’?”
Pair every boundary with the why: “to protect X so we can deliver Y.” Clarity early prevents friction later.

“What if my values feel vague?”
Use the anger compass: what reliably frustrates her? Beneath frustration is a stepped-on value. Convert it into a behaviour (e.g., fairness → transparent crediting).

“What if two archetypes are loud in me?”
Beautiful. A Sovereign–Wise Woman blend sounds like principled influence. A Sovereign–Tribe Builder blend sounds like a clear vision with communal lift. Coach the harmony, not the conflict.

“What if I slip back into people-pleasing?”
Normalise it. Choose one “brave line” for the week and one micro-experiment (e.g., open the next meeting with her position in one sentence). Momentum beats perfection.
